Which could develop into regular bootie calls.<\/p>\n

WARNING. You probably already know that women tend to hope that bootie calls will turn into a deeper relationship. Men don\u2019t.<\/em><\/p>\n

2. The \u201cScreening for Bootie Calls\u201d Card<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This one is a version of the truth. He\u2019s NOT interested in a \u201crelationship,\u201d but he IS interested in sex.<\/p>\n

3. The \u201cI\u2019m in Control\u201d Card<\/strong><\/h3>\n

He tells you this IN CASE he might want to date you.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve backed off, so now he gets to call all the shots if he decides he wants to.<\/p>\n

4. The \u201cEasy Exit\u201d Card<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Once he\u2019s told you he\u2019s not interested, he can freely make a play for you, and you\u2019re all off-balance. (He\u2019s in control.)<\/p>\n

So if you date for a while or even sleep together, and then he decides he\u2019s ready to move on, he has a ready-made exit excuse.<\/p>\n

He can quickly and easily put all the responsibility for \u201cmisunderstanding\u201d on you.<\/p>\n

\u201cHey,\u201d he can casually say, \u201cI TOLD you I wasn\u2019t interested in a relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

5. The Truth<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Yep, some guys say it because it\u2019s true.<\/p>\n

And some guys say it because it\u2019s true, then change their minds and decide to date.<\/p>\n

How to RESPOND to his \u201cI\u2019m not interested\u201d speech<\/p>\n

Take him at his word.<\/p>\n

Assume he\u2019s telling the gospel truth, and leave him alone.<\/p>\n

This means you move forward with your life, immediately. Date other men and don\u2019t put your universe on hold in hopes that something might develop with this guy.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t behave like his girlfriend or his bootie call.<\/p>\n

Be clear that if he\u2019s interested in dating you, then your outings have to be actual dates, not \u201clet\u2019s watch Netflix at my place then have sex\u201d or \u201cI need to fill some social gaps\u201d or \u201cyou\u2019re the only one available, so why not.\u201d<\/p>\n

You\u2019re worth so much more than that.<\/p>\n
